Thanks for your interest in Plays With Mud. This little venture
was founded by Paula Weigel, whose first craft project was a Q-tip
monogram for her sister when she was seven years old. She watched
do-it-yourself shows before the DIY craze became ... well, crazy.
In college, she gave instructional speeches on decoupaging for her
Public Speaking 101 class. She has amassed a vast collection of
paints, glues, scissors, and stamps, and was searching for a creative
outlet and a way to breathe new life into her plethora of miscellaneous
craft supplies. Her love of clay and fabrics merged when she attached
her first clay buckle to a sweet little belt in 2005, and Plays
With Mud was born.

Paula has been referred to as "the go-to gal for craft know-how," and
has had her hands in almost every craft out there: paper making,
candle designing, soap casting, book binding, scrapbooking, embossing,
stamping, decoupaging, painting, faux finishing, collaging, card
creating, and bead stringing. She loves discovering new tools, new
products, and new uses for old goodies. Her current passions are
pottery, paper, and swanky fabrics.
Plays With Mud products are handcrafted in a smoke-free home with
loads of care and attention to detail. Paula's super-adorable baby
boy and too-good-to-be-true hubby provide all the inspiration a
gal could ever ask for. They are constant reminders to be thankful,
embrace life, and never take yourself too seriously.
